Utility Location Manager 

Summary:

After initial training is completed, this working manager is responsible for supervising a field crew of 2 to 6 members to oversee their daily tasks. The ULM has complete respnsibility for stagig the quality of the field effort. Train the field crew, delegate work, assign work areas, review and check the crew's quality of work and make sure the standard operating procedures are followed. Oversee projects where crew members are using electronic equipment to locate and mark gas, water, sewer, phone, power, and CATC lines. Monday - Friday travel depending on where the work is located.

Education:

High School Education or GED is preferred.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Every candidate/employee must have their own form of transportation to the office and from the office every day. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must have management/supervisory experience in:
    • Leading teams, managing crew members, and subcontractors.
    • QA/QC.
  • Must have good organization, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and use a map. 
  • Must be a self starter, willing to travel, and work outdoors. 
  • Must have good communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to read and understand maps, records, and prints. 
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Employee needs to have steel toed boots and long pants. They must also wear a shirt that can get dirty. 
  • Hard hat, safety vest and safety glasses will be provided by InfraMap Corp.

Preferred Skills:

  • Military background helpful but not required.
  • Utilities or construction experience highly desireable by not required.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee is ocassionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move (e.g. manhole covers or similar items) as required by the particular job.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regulary exposed to outside weather conditions.
