Cad
Operator/Drafter/Technician

Summary:

After initial training is completed the CAD Operator/Drafter/Technician will work closely with engineers or surveyors to create visual guidelines or drawings for civil engineering projects within surface, subsurface, and aerial utilities. Create or store documents within MicroStation or AutoCAD that can be viewed or printed.

Education:

• High School Education or GED is preferred.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. 
• Must be able to read, write and use a map. 
• Entry level candidates must have a degree or a certificate in CAD with exposure to AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• If candidates do not have a degree they must have at least 1 year of CAD experience.
• AutoCAD or MicroStation tool experience.

Preferred Skills:

• At least 1 year of CAD experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Civil engineering, utility, or construction background a plus but not required.
• Background in land surveying, field, or road work a plus but not required.
• Survey processing tool experience with TDS or Eagle Point a plus but not required.
